The Core Coach Training is open to all paddlers regardless your discipline or previous coaching experience.
During this course, you will explore different approaches to understanding and enabling learning. You will also be supported in evolving your personal coaching development plan to enable you to take your learning into practice after the course.
The training is available as a two-day practical course or an online modular course.
For qualified coaches, this can form part of your continuous professional development and has a value of 20 CPD points.
This course is part classroom and part on water. The course will be based in the BBB Classroom

The course will run from 8am - 5pm each day.
This course is provided by John Carmody, British Canoeing Advanced Coach Award Provider and Coach Diploma recipient.

To get the most out of your Core Coach Training, you need to feel comfortable in or on your craft and be able to independently paddle on sheltered water. We recommend you consider the Paddle Explore Award (or equivalent level of experience) before booking on your Core Coach Training.

Focused on skill development, safety, decision-making, and confidence appropriate to the course level. Instruction includes both on-water coaching and relevant shore-based discussions or briefings.

This training sets you on the path to complete the Coach Award.
Participants are expected to have their own equipment, however we can provide gear you need if you are travelling to us or are missing some things.
