Just got back from the week-long Coastal Kayak Camp. Alex, Chris and Jake were fantastic coaches. I have significant sea kayak experience but previously had no open coastal experience, they tailored their coaching to help me progress quickly. Every day offered options and ways for each participant to customize their experience. My confidence in the surf, rock gardening and paddling in coastal swell was challenged and grew significantly each day. The food was wonderful and plentiful. The entire crew was fun to hang with at camp and out paddling. Everything about the week far exceeded any expectations I had. Thanks to the entire Body Boat Blade crew who made the week possible.

Alex was a great instructor! The Foundations 1 class was just what I needed to get over my fear of tipping over in the cold water—the dry suits provided were also a great help with that—and learning so many safety techniques & practicing all the skills we learned, like rescuing each other & practicing self-rescues, were such a confidence builder, in addition to a lot of fun. I now know what equipment I need & what skills I need to practice to feel safe and confident in the water. Thank you, Alex—great class! ~Kelly Stevens

I signed up for the Foundations 1 class upon the recommendation of a family member who took a Body Boat Blade class several years ago and loved it. I am so glad I did! The course was exactly what I was hoping for. Beautiful setting, skilled instructor, and just right skills progression. The small group setting was perfect and we were all able to improve our paddling skills. Alex was a natural teacher in tune with our needs, and patiently answered all questions, no matter how silly some of them may have seemed! We ended the two days with just the right amount of happy tired that left us all wanting more! I especially appreciate the after class support in the way of shared resources and multiple responses to my follow up emails with questions about gear and clothing. I wouldn't hesitate to enroll in another Body Boat Blade course after my positive experience with this one!
